I went to a screening of the ordinary radicals with some friends on Wednesday. The film was done really well. The movie chronicles two guys who wrote the book Jesus for president and their tour to promote the book. It painted the picture well of what some christians can be like. I don't want to be the type of christian that the world sees christians to be. To be honest I hate the word "christian". The world looks at "christians" as people who don't care, who are condemning, and unforgiving. The list could go on. So I am not striving to be "christian" anymore. I am striving to be like Jesus. Jesus cared for people no matter what. We see that many times over in the Bible. He didn't care about law and what was supposed to happen according to the government at the time. Jesus cared for the homeless, the prostitutes, the sick, the condemned. There was no one that Jesus did not care for. I strive to have that quality of caring for people. Giving up time to spend time with the homeless even though I could be sleeping is one way I could show that I care.

I love the office and since Brooke over at little pieces of me took the quiz I thought I would too. I am not sure if I am happy with results but oh well. To find out which office character you are follow the link what office character are you

Which Office Character Are You?

You are part Michael. Deep down, you are caring and good-natured, but you often express yourself in insensitive ways. Though you always try your hardest to make your talents be seen, you could use a little more self-awareness to avoid being awkward.

You are part Ryan. You are extremely smart and perceptive, and it irritates you to no end when inferior people try to tell you what to do. Sometimes, though, your critical eye makes you come off as aloof and bitter to others, and it may take awhile for people to get to know you.

Had a great time at Chelsea and Jason's Wedding. Me and Josh spent the whole day filming. It was a long day but it was fun. We got some good footage which will be posted on the winding road media blog when we get up it and running. I snapped these pics at the wedding.

believe or not...I love to cook...or I should I say I love to grill. Tonight I made italian seasoned chicken topped with Newmans Own marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. I plan to write more "what I ate for dinner" posts which will include pictures. My battery was not charged for my digital camera so I couldn't get a pic of this meal and didn't want to wait for it to charge because I was hungry.

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition is most downloaded anti-virus app on cnet downloads. So I thought I would run through a tutorial on using the program and other steps to making sure your computer remains free of spyware/virus's.
step 1 - Download the program here
step 2 - This is what the main screen looks like. You want to make sure all those components stay active with the green check mark. If a component needs attention click on it and it will fix it for you. You also want to make sure your program stays up to date. It should notify if it has an issue getting an update. You will notice on the left hand side of the picture a menu button that says schedule scan. Make sure to set this to a schedule that works for you.step 3 - Make sure to pay attention during the install as you will want to make sure to check all those components listed in the picture. These extra features will scan any links and email messages for spyware.

step 4 - pic of creating a schedulestep 5 - I would not install the toolbar...just because I don't like them. Don't bother changing the default search engine.step 6 - You want to set the email scanner to active especially on incoming messages.step 7 - You want to make sure you set it to scan entire computer. You can also run manual scans that will scan files or folders.step 8 - Make sure all these setting match the settings in the snapshot below.step 9 - refer to this post for other tips on spyware cleanups

So right now along with nature I am going through a change. All within 2 weeks, I have decided to go back to school to finish my 4 year degree, quit my job at a computer company, and start a business called Winding Road Media.

If any of you know me well, you know that going back to school was the last thing I wanted to do...especially at cbc (known as ccu now). I only have 8 classes to take and the rest will be at cincinnati state for network administration. My degree will read "bachelor of science in biblical studies plus information technology program cooperative."

I am going to be real honest...I was scared going to this meeting at ccu. I left there on academic probation and I was not sure if that was going to affect anything now and ccu left a bad taste in my mouth about church..etc. All this fear was lifted when God stepped in. I walked into the meeting and my admissions counselor was a guy I went to school with the first time around. The application process is lengthy and I did not want to go through all of that again. Before I mentioned any of that he said I would not have to get any of my references that he would pull them from my file. I could tell that God had his hand on that day..and making my fears of going back to school disappear.

Just got my power back today at noon. I am more than happy that the power is back on but I enjoyed it being off. I have slept better over the black out. It is proven that electronics mess up your sleeping pattern. I miss the luxury of being able to cook and have a balanced eating schedule. It makes me appreciate what I have. I realize what its like for others who don't have the luxury of electricity. Here are some pics I snapped during the wind storm.

My neighbor holding his siding on with a pool skimmer...he did this for 45 minutes.

Yes, they got up on the ladder in the middle of the wind storm.

This trampoline was in my neighbors backyard...now its in the front yard.

My neighbors new play set they just put together.

I woke up at 9:00 am to walk in the Buddy Walk at Newport for down syndrome. I usually don't wake up that early because of my work schedule but it was nice to wake up early and have the whole day.

Maya is my friend's cousin. She is 7 months old and has down syndrome. She is so cute, she slept almost the whole time.

Here are some pictures I snapped at the walk.

This is maya catching up on some zzzz's
